Introducing Waterloo

Home to the Southbank Centre, the Tate Modern and the Young and Old Vic theatres, Waterloo is London’s cultural powerhouse (the Tate Modern was actually a power station in a former life). The area is also rich in tourist attractions, the London Aquarium, the London Eye and Westminster Bridge are all popular with visitors to the city – not to mention the river itself, with its pop-up bars, booksellers and musicians lining the bank.

From such a central spot, the city is your oyster – the Thames is not only fantastic for photo opportunities, it’s a great way to get around too, with the River Bus waiting to whisk you to Chelsea Harbour to the west, or east to the O2 Arena.
