Expanses of glass give its large rooms an airy feel, and the garden has views both far and wide. With Victorian tiling, vintage furniture and all manner of fascinating curios, this is a house to satisfy roving spirits. Pack a sandwich and head for Portobello Road Market, journey across Wormwood Scrubs park, or dip down through Notting Hill to Kensington’s museums – here the final frontier is simply the limit of your imagination.

Route 66

Your hosts are a young family who count their neighbours among their firm friends, some of whom having been in situ for over 20 years. They renovated Barlby Road IV themselves and are now preparing for their next adventure, a road trip across the USA.

Great plains

Natural flooring, doors of stripped wood and neutral textiles give this home a soothing earthiness, offset by vivid watercolours and pretty murals. Your hosts have filled their home with fun – a tambourine, a vintage typewriter, a gramophone horn and a guitar of lapis blue – along with books, antiques, and some wonderful toys.

The country kitchen opens out into the garden, where you’ve potted herbs, a decked seating area and a powerful BBQ, and upstairs, the master suite is a study in subtle grace, with its bay window, gently distressed paint and elegant chaise longue.

Home truths

There is one off-road parking spaces for this home. If you require them during your stay, please let our reservations team know so they can make arrangements with the host.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

This home is spread over two floors with no internal elevator.

Since the onefinestay photoshoot, the wall of the second bedroom has changed in decor. We'll be taking new photographs soon.


Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
