Rich timber In the heart of bustling Opéra – Grands magasins, Rue Bergère II still shows its timbered roots. The short entrance corridor opens immediately into the sitting room, with original stripped parquet flooring and white-washed wooden beams, and a bold blue armchair and a sunset painting punctuate the room’s neutral palette. Here too is the kitchen, a contemporary area separated from the living space by a sleek breakfast bar with built-in bookshelves. Opposite the living space are three bedrooms that back onto a quiet courtyard via French windows and Juliet balconies. First, the master bedroom – mahogany beams run the length of the ceiling over a queen-size bed. In the second bedroom, further along, there’s a double bed and a lime-green feature wall. There’s a single bed in the parquet-floored third bedroom. Opposite the master bedroom is the bathroom with slate grey tiles and mirrored walls.
