Heading through MacDonough Townhouse’s garden gate and through the front door, you’ll find a brownstone with a family vibe. The door opens onto a gorgeous wooden staircase, with the stylish living room to the right. Here, comfortable modern furniture mingles with ornate architectural details like the carved ornamental mantelpiece and window frames. Heading back to the open kitchen and dining room (brightened by cheerful orange chairs and white marble countertops), a door leads to the terrace which overlooks the shady back garden.

On the second floor, you’ll come to the master bathroom on the left, the second bedroom (with a queen-sized bed) to the right, and the master bedroom (with a king-sized bed) at the end of the hall. On the third floor, you’ll find a bathroom and the third bedroom (with a double bed), along with a book-lined second sitting room, laundry and study with a double bed and desk.

Home truths

One loveable hypoallergenic dog as well as a cat live in this home. They won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with severe allergies.

There is no wardrobe in the second or fourth bedrooms so we will provide a hanging rail for storage.

This home has air-conditioning in the sitting room and all bedrooms.

The bed in the fourth bedroom has a futon mattress.

The fireplaces in this home are ornamental.

This home's lovely back garden is sometime's accessed by the homeowner's basement tenant.

There is a futon mattress which can be set up in the second bedroom for two people. Please let us know when you book if you would like it prepared.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
