They’ve given careful consideration to its California Spanish Revival roots, with a trickling sunburst fountain on the spacious central patio and a loggia aside the gleaming pool. And for all this home’s European majesty, its grand wrought-iron bannisters and gilt-framed artworks are tempered with contemporary cream sofas and a sleek, modern kitchen. Locals’ favourite Brentwood Country Mart is nearby, and you’re just two miles from the beach should your surroundings leave you lusting after the Californian sun.

Your hosts are a businessman and lawyer who each left the entertainment industry behind for their current professional posts. They love strolling their eclectic neighborhood, or visiting nearby favourite Sweet Rose Creamery for a cooling, artisan scoop or two.

In the living room ample seating tops dark-wood floors, deftly arranged around a stone fireplace matching another on the central patio. Tread past the rustic wooden dining table to admire the skylit glass-panelled kitchen, or head outside through French doors – here you’ve a choice between a refreshing lap of the pool, or relaxation at the dining table beneath the jutting eaves. You’ll find more sweet shade in the bedrooms, one with a slatted canopy bed, another with a striking box canopy. But the inviting four-poster in the master bedroom might be best-suited for your siesta.

Home truths

This home is usually the stomping grounds of two adorable hypoallergenic pooches, though they will not be home during guest stays, people with severe allergies should be aware!

This home has an open swimming pool accessible via the back door without a fence.

Since the onefinestay photoshoot, the third bedroom has been updated with a double bed.


Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
