Three cheers Wherever you happen to turn, Coningham Road II is always in good humour. The kitchen is exuberant in blue, the cloakroom is a peppy sunrise-yellow, and the red corner sofa sits atop the sitting room’s hardwood floor like the broadest smile. But it’s not the palette alone that makes this home so perky. Oriental cabinets make way for aged African masks and stylish ceramic lighting, and should your fancy take you outdoors, the garden stirs with flowery scents. So sit back and sip something that fizzes, or head instead to the many shops of nearby Shepherd’s Bush and Westfield. Pep talk Your hosts are currently taking time out to travel the world. Being an artist and psychologist, she knows all about the importance of mood – and has furnished her home to the sparkiest of specifications. ##Household spirit Settle into the sitting room’s curvaceous, red sofa, or relax upon the white, contemporary armchair. The walls are neutral, then yellow, then azure, and there’s many an Eastern element to catch the eye along the way. A rush of blue comes from the kitchen’s dark cabinets, while the garden offers outdoor dinners at its wooden table for four. Spring your way up the spiral staircase where you’ll find the vibrant cloakroom and the brilliantly colourful bedrooms. There’s a lime-green hue in the master, and the ensuite’s tub is indulgently deep.
