With its brownstone façade shadowed by the trees that line Carroll Gardens’ quiet streets, Union Street Townhouse is at first glance nothing but serene. And inside the impression deepens, this airy home feeling far from the city’s hustle and bustle. Sun-bleached wood and white walls bring the beach to mind, while dashes of blue are additionally nautical.
But here there’s a chic twist on seaside style – sail slowly through each resplendent room and you’ll pass stately original features, elegant accessories and coolly understated furnishings.
Whenever your busy hosts get the chance, they head to the beach for a spot of sport or to watch the sunset. So it’s no surprise that a laid-back milieu pervades their New York home, which they love for its tranquil garden and closeness to Carroll Gardens’ hip shops and restaurants.
Carroll Gardens is a sweet setting for halcyon days spent strolling along the waterfront, or sampling the delights of the many local cafés and bars. But it’ll be hard to leave Union Street Townhouse for long – children will relish the sunshine colours of the playroom, while adults will appreciate the sophisticated midnight-blue master bedroom and its sparkling ensuite. What’s more, beyond the sleek dining room’s French doors lies a green garden that’s sure to entertain all ages, replete with a secluded spot in which to dine beneath an old elm tree.
This home spans over three floors with no elevator. Guests enter on the second floor and will find the living room, kitchen, and powder room. The double bedroom, bunk bedroom, and bathroom are located on the third floor. The master bedroom and bathroom are located on the fourth floor.
This home comfortably sleeps five adults, with an additional raised single bed in the bunk bedroom and airbed or single mattress that can be made up upon request in the double bedroom bringing the maximum occupancy to eight.
Guest should note that the bottom bunk mattress of the bunk bedroom is located directly on the floor.
While there is no wardrobe in double bedroom, guests will find a hanging rail for their use.
The minimum stay length for this home is four nights.
Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.
Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.
Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.
Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
