Big picture In this artistic home curated by the host, (a professor with grown children) large-scale paintings stand out against soothing neutral walls. You enter the home through a small hallway. Directly ahead is the white kitchen, and to the right is the living area. Here you’ll find a large collection of books (as you might expect), a dining table surrounded on three sides by huge abstract artworks, and a sliding glass door which opens to a charming terrace. In the right-hand corner of the living area is the door to the second bedroom. It doubles as a work space and has more bold artworks and a sofabed. Turn left from the entrance and you’ll find the master bedroom, where a wrought-iron bed sits on a large patterned rug. The walls are sky-blue and the artworks – though smaller than those in the sitting room – are no less impressive.
