Persian rugs drape dark hardwood floors and no origami is too intricate, no artefact too exotic to slot into the sitting room’s melting pot. If the bedrooms and bright palette speak of Southern beauty, the kitchen’s French doors and English style-tiles are all old-world warmth. But with Manhattan within easy reach on the F train, we think your next destination might be somewhere closer.

Trade winds

Rural Virginians by summer and winter, New Yorkers by spring and fall, your hosts are no strangers to travelling. That said, they love being within walking distance of Prospect Park – so close it could be their second backyard.

For the road

The kitchen’s off-white cabinetry and cosy wooden table could be straight out of a southern magazine spread. Steer a course to the gorgeous sitting room to find bare bricks, bulging bookshelves and warming swathes of red and green. Speed upstairs to see the anteroom, complete with sewing machine and wall-hung quilt, or make sleep your destination in one of three eclectic bedrooms. The queen is sweetly draped with Navajo rugs, while tiny birds perch atop the master’s delightful four-poster.

Home truths

The bunk bed in the third bedroom will comfortably sleep one adult on the bottom single, and has room for a further adult on the top bunk.

There is space for a double airbed on the lower ground floor if you need extra sleeping space for your stay. Please let us know when you book if you would like it prepared.

Two lovable dogs live at this home. They won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies.


Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
