A deep serenity flows beneath the surface of this playfully modern home. Originally a 1950s vicarage, its religious calm has been transubstantiated into a pearl of a retreat, nestling in the midst of Brockwell Park. A wall of windows washes away the boundary between inside and out, so you’ll bathe in space. Bathing of a less existential nature is also easy, the sublime Brockwell Lido a mere front crawl away. Or you can splash out farther afield to the restaurants and cafés of Brixton: there will be plenty to keep your days full to the brim.

Ebb and flow

Your hosts are a young family who are rightfully awash with pride for their London home, having poured years of hard work into its renovation. They travel where the tide takes them: France is a favourite destination.


Blue Grotto

Light from the sweeping windows undulates through the vast open space that is the combined kitchen, dining and sitting rooms, changing gently with the clouds and the shifting sun throughout the day. Drift outside to take your lunch al fresco at the pub benches: on your return, your little guppies will take to the trampoline like fish to the sea.


Flowing upstairs, they can take their choice of the two single bedrooms, while you can sink into the master bedroom, complete with a skylight to illuminate this tranquil oasis.

Home truths

Since the onefinestay photoshoot, both the second and third bedrooms have been redecorated.

The bed in the third bedroom is now a double bed.

The fireplace in this home is ornamental.

This is a well loved family home so does show some signs of wear and tear.

Since the onefinestay photoshoot the sofabed in the second sitting room has been replaced. It can accommodate two additional guests, we will provide a hanging rail for your stay. Please let us know if you would like this prepared for your stay.

There is off-road parking available at this home. If you require it during your stay, please let our reservations team know so they can make arrangements with the host.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

This home is spread over two floors with no internal elevator.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
