Up, up and above
They say that variety is the spice of life and we couldn’t agree more, so why not stray from your normal routine and head for an adventure in this delightful apartment. The balance of its white rooms is the perfect counterpoint to London’s hullabaloo – a dollop of creamy yoghurt after the fiery kick of a curry. When ready to stir things up, the city stretches as far as the eye can see. Whether you choose, north, south, east or west, or simply amble the winding streets of Central London, every day will be a voyage of discovery.
Your cultured hosts come from different corners of the globe. Now settled in London they love spending time unearthing the many delights of their chosen city.
A ravishing view
Where else can you lie in bed sipping a cup of fragrant chai and watch the sunrise painting the venerable pillars of the British Museum a rosy pink? The view from this is home is so incredible, you may well wish you could remain there until the sun begins to sink as well. Light cascades through its floor to ceiling windows into this perfectly compact apartment, bringing the unique collection of prints and geometric bookshelves to life. Why not select one of your host’s many Indian cookbooks to read on the chic slate grey sofa before giving in to hunger and making liberal use of the kitchen’s spice collection as you prepare a Dhansak to be shared at the dining table.
For those that want nothing more than a good night’s sleep, a soothing shower in the pared-back bathroom will send you happily towards bed, while for those after something a little more piquant, Soho’s nightlife lies in wait.
Flying with the birds
You could not ask for a more central location than Earnshaw Street. Whether you choose to lose an afternoon as you wander around the British Museum’s esoteric collections, explore Holborn’s rich literary history or go wild in the stores lining Oxford Street, you options are truly limitless. All of Central London is within walking distance or a few minutes by tube from nearby Russell Square tube.
