Live and exclusive
So good-looking that an HD lens may as well be a pair of rose tinted spectacles, this exquisite townhouse twinkles with charisma. Large windows fill the spacious rooms with sunshine, illuminating softly contemporary furniture, sumptuous textiles and iconic twentieth century art. Your location is as dazzling as the interiors – peer behind your neighbours’ shades and you’ll find many an A lister, for Belgravia combines the glitter of showbiz with some much-needed tranquillity. Pop over to Buckingham Palace, take a stroll in Green Park or refresh your wardrobe in Sloane Square. We guarantee you’ll be back at the same time next week.
Your hostess is a designer, who now specialises in fashion and interior design. She shares her home with her family, and when she’s not walking by the river, she’s jetting all around the world.
In close up
Bohemia meets luxury in the sitting room, with its low-slung couch, gigantic Penguin book cover and windows looking down into the pretty street below. The eat-in kitchen’s brand new, and eight can dine at the rustic table, upon funkily mismatched chairs. The three double bedrooms are characterful and exceptionally comfortable, indeed, none would feel out of place in a boutique hotel.
Little ones will dote upon the stuffed giraffe, the miniature desk and the handmade rocking horse, while grownups will adore the master bedroom ensuite, with its two sinks and vintage bottles of scent. The bedroom itself is simply scrumptious, all wrapped up in shades of coffee and biscuit and topped off with a dash of our pure white linen.
Don’t forget to pop your camera in your bag, because Belgravia is terribly photogenic. Wide streets give way to manicured gardens, and at the end of the road you’ll find three of the city’s greatest parks. Sloane Square and Knightsbridge vie for the title of London’s most desirable shopping destination, while nearby Victoria is a-buzz with cafes and restaurants. And if you want to visit the West End, the journey to Oxford Circus takes a mere four minutes.
This home is spread out over four floors, so there are quite a few steps to the top.
The rocking horse in the double bedroom is ornamental and not to be played on.
