Built to last
You don’t need to punch-in at this factory-inspired setting in the nexus of downtown Manhattan: leave the time card at your nine-to-five and unwind in stoic elegance under the glowing rays of this sun-soaked home. High ceilings, clean lines, and sharp contrast evoke a manufacturer’s aesthetic charmed by the simple warmth of contemporary styling.
Captain of industry
If you’re wondering how this apartment got its engineering appeal, look no further than your host, who's responsible for this magnificent construction. When he isn't forging the future at work, your host is balancing family life with his wife and two daughters.
On the factory floor
Like a well-oiled machine with a fresh coat of paint, this Tribeca residence is equal parts function and form, creating an atmosphere that is as efficient as it is inviting. The gentle curve of the room’s cylindrical columns juxtapose nicely against the precision of the ceiling’s beams, the at-home dichotomy offering visual complement with each design contrast.
Textiles and surfaces forge a unique relationship among themselves-leather giving way to chrome, glass merging with timber. The master bedroom is large and airy with a few decorations to distract you from your job of deep slumber. Like reflective light on a foundry’s metal castings, each guest bedroom is painted in a cool tone with flecks of color appearing in eclectic trinkets and framed artwork lining the walls. Head to the private terrace waiting above the home, where lush greens and tasteful succulents sit along sun-bleached wood while New York’s towering facades wink at you from the distance.
Once a commercial hub, Tribeca has refined itself to become one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in New York. Grab a bite of brasserie fare at The Odeon before marching to Ward III, where you can play liquid craftsman and develop your own bespoke cocktail. Traveling with the whole family? Washington Market Park and Pier 25 provide outdoor solace for every age.
Since the time of the photo shoot, some of the furniture has been updated. The second bedroom now features a twin bed with a twin trundle, and the living room now features a queen-size sofabed.
