Burnished walls, low-slung furniture, polished wood and scarlet leather – these rooms are decadence incarnate. And Holland Park is just the place to indulge your lust for all things luxe. You’ve some of the smartest restaurants in town, along with an outstanding range of artisan grocers. When the feasting is done, walk to Kensington, to the museums, to the Westfield shopping centre or over to Knightsbridge for shoes and champagne. Because, really, when life’s this good, you can never have too much.

Tastemakers

Your hosts are a young couple from Argentina and Poland, who reside here with their playful hound. Elsham Road III was their personal project, and its interiors have even been featured in House & Garden magazine.

Starry night

The sitting room’s dominated by a clever take on traditional antlered décor, while perched atop the original marble fireplace is a large flatscreen TV. The eat-in kitchen’s a suave spot, with sharp white units and some of the latest appliances alongside the lustrous walnut table. Both double bedrooms are large, the master especially so, with its ultra-glam leather headboard, panelled walls and plush cream carpet. The marble ensuite next door holds his and hers sinks, a vast, vast power shower and our White Company toiletries.

Start the day with a stroll in Holland Park, then wend your way to Kensington High Street for breakfast in one of the many snazzy cafes. Afterwards, head for Notting Hill and Portobello Road Market by way of Kensington Gardens, make for the museums, or drift over to Knightsbridge for Harvey Nichols and Harrods. Or maybe you’ll head for the West End – if so, the journey from Shepherd’s Bush to Oxford Circus takes a little over ten minutes.

Home truths

This townhouse is spread over four floors, so there are quite a few steps from top to bottom.

This home is the normal stomping ground of Macho the dog, while he won't be there for your stay, allergy sufferers should be aware.

This period property has some period plumbing to match, so you might notice a drop in water pressure if you're using all the showers at once, and the bath will take a while to fill.

Space will be available in the open master dressing room for clothes storage in this room. This area is not visible in our pictures, but joins the master bedroom and ensuite.

There is currently renovation work happening in the flat below during working hours. However, disruption is minimal.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
