For over a decade he’s scoured London’s independent boutiques, galleries and antiques dealers to fill Elsham Road with the city’s best artisan accomplishments. Edwardian bookshops and modern art museums are his homes from home.

Picture perfect

Elsham Road’s hallway sets the tone for the rest of the home, with its dark wood floorboards, guilt mirror and crisp, white walls. It opens onto the impressive sitting room, which boasts a juxtaposition of period stucco, classical paintings, and 1950s light fixtures and furniture. A deep, low sofa and regency purple leather armchair furnish a pleasurable view of the enormous, flat screen television. The large dining table luxuriates before a three-pane sash window – the perfect place to spread out well-loved books and broadsheets over a cup of coffee brewed in the modern, stylish kitchen, which hosts duck egg blue units and white stone worktops. Enjoy a well-earned rest in the upscale bathroom with its spacious, walk-in shower and floor-to-ceiling mirrors. Afterwards, nip, towel-clad, into the paired-down opulence of the master-bedroom down the hall, complete with ornate mirror and intricate woodwork. A second bedroom offers a pull-out sofa bed and antique writing desk for those inspired to immortalise their surrounds on paper, or just sit and muse.

Live the park life in this affluent corner of West London, and enjoy the semi-wild woodland, orangeries and Renaissance ruins of Holland Park itself. There’s a wealth of local cafes and coffee shops to explore by day, and a plethora of bars and restaurants to discover by night. Home truths

This home is in a beautiful old townhouse- the sitting room backs onto a main road which can be quite noisy, but the bedrooms are on the other side of the home, overlooking a quiet tree-lined street.

The bed in the second bedroom is a sofabed, but our hosts assure us it is extremely comfortable - it's also the easiest one to pull out that we’ve encountered. Please contact our reservations team if you would like this to be set up. There is no cupboard space in this bedroom.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
