Foothill Drive is a fabulous four-bedroom home in the sleepy suburbs of Hollywood Dell. This private, gated retreat offers a secluded base for all your adventures in Los Angeles. There’s no need to hop straight into the car to see all the best sights, either. Just a five-minute walk away is the trendy Franklin Village, where you can browse the farmer’s market, sip freshly-ground coffee at one of its hip cafes, and pick up some groceries from the local store - ready for a cookout with the family. But that’s not all - a 15-minute stroll will take you to Bronson Park, from which you can access Griffith Park and its famed observatory; one of the best locations to get a good shot of the iconic Hollywood Sign. Inside the home, there’s a gorgeous blend of traditional elements and modern comforts. Originally built in 1924, one of the most intriguing features within is the wood-burning Batchelder fireplace in the main sitting room; each tile was hand-crafted almost one hundred years ago. Alongside the cosy sitting room, the entrance level is where you’ll find the spacious kitchen and dining room, as well as two office spaces - ideal for those who plan on working remotely while away. A queen-sized bedroom and a double bedroom are also located on this level. Unique art pieces add a pop of colour to each room, featuring works from Kehinde Wiley, Raymond Pettibon, Elizabeth Peyton, and Eduardo Sarabia to name just a few. Take the steps down to the lower level and you’ll discover yet another sitting room and the two remaining bedrooms - the master bedroom with its plush king-sized bed and a second bedroom with a stunning four-poster. The basement level hides a cool wine and games room. Outside, a sunkissed patio area sits beneath a vibrant bougainvillaea - a lovely spot to enjoy an alfresco lunch together. Through the gate is a private swimming pool with an integrated hot tub, and a fire pit for those late summer nights.

Home truths

  • This home is spread over multiple floors with no internal elevator.

  • There is central air conditioning on the entrance level of the home and window air conditioner units in both the downstairs level master bedroom and TV sitting room.

  • The fourth bedroom on the entrance level has a double-sized bed. It can sleep two people, but is more comfortable for one.

  • There is a removable toddler bed with a crib mattress in the downstairs second bedroom which can sleep an additional toddler or younger child.

  • There are two parking spaces in the home's designated garage, two parking spaces in the driveway and street parking in front of the home.

  • There is an external security camera which faces the front area of the home.

Policies

  • Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here.

  • Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

  • Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

  • I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a $1,500 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

  • Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

  • Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

  • Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
