Hang out This apartment in Williamsburg exudes a laid-back style—no surprise, given that your hosts run a local surf supply shop. Once up the entry staircase, you’ll find an open living and dining space on the right, where exposed brickwork and lots of wooden furnishings give the home an unfussy feel. Past the round dining table for four, you’ll find the stairs up to the spacious rooftop terrace Turn left down the hallway for the master and second bedrooms. In the master bedroom, the décor is pared-back, with a wooden chest of drawers and bedside lamp, a queen-size bed and a bookshelf built into the wall. In the second bedroom, you’ll find a bunk bed and more shelves lined with books. When it’s time to explore beyond these walls, there’s much to see within walking distance, from Brooklyn Brewery and Bushwick Inlet Park to the Artists & Fleas weekend vintage market.
