Broad appeal Large and wide-windowed, this Maida Vale home feels more like a Manhattan loft. Entering at street level, an industrial spiral staircase leads up to the second bedroom, which has blue-grey walls and a small double bed. The ensuite is all-white, and up another floor you’ll come to the open-plan living area. Shabby-chic pendants hang in the jet-black kitchen, and there are upholstered benches either side of the dining table. Beyond, a statement hanging chair stands out in the sitting room. The bathroom is at one end of this floor, and at the other you’ll find the pared-back fourth bedroom, which has a projector. There’s a bunk bed and exposed brick wall in the third bedroom, while the master bedroom is up another staircase in the sitting room. A vintage double bed faces a freestanding bath and walk-in shower, and outside, there’s more dining space on the long communal terrace.
