This Victorian terraced house in Notting Hill is an inviting prospect. Recently renovated by award-winning architects, Hillgate Street II combines classic details and contemporary living. You step straight into the sitting room, where contemporary furnishings meet lovingly restored original features – two plump-cushioned sofas sit beside a fireplace topped with crystal candlesticks. Beyond them, just past a row of bookshelves, an open doorway leads through to the kitchen. It’s a sky-lit space, with a sleek grey-and-white kitchen area and a stylish dining table. At the far end, glass doors open into the tranquil private garden.
Next, the sitting room’s staircase leads first to the daintily decorated second bedroom, which has its own ensuite. Then you’ll come to the third bedroom (pale-painted and wood-floored, but full of colourful accessories) and the family bathroom. And above that, up on the second floor, there’s the master bedroom. This simple, elegant room has a king-size bed, an antique armchair and an ensuite bathroom with a shower and a roll-top bathtub.
One loveable cat lives at this home. It won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies.
This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.
There is a day bed and a trundle bed in the third bedroom which can be set up to sleep one person each. Please let us know when you book if you would like either prepared.
The fireplace in the third bedroom is ornamental, but you can use the one in the sitting room.
Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.
Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.
Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.
Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.
Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
