A laughing matter Though Manhattan – a district of buttoned-up suits and swift-walkers – is undoubtedly exciting, those ready to loosen their tie head to Cobble Hill. And that’s exactly where you’ll find Warren Place Townhouse, where brightly coloured sofas and a clutch of playful accents will put a smile on your face. Artworks are clustered between swathes of bare bricks, and a wall-hung papier mache rhinoceros head is sure to elicit a chuckle. Funny business Your hosts are a duo of humourists who make their living through their pens and wit. They met in college and have since moved together to New York. On a lark This quirky home is vibrant with colour and texture. Start your day with a hot drink out on the cobbled patio, or cosy up amidst the geometric rugs and cheeky velvet sofa in the living room. The kitchen is glossed in white and furnished with a gas range, flowing into the rustic, farmhouse-style dining room. And after a day of merriment in Cobble Hill’s friendly eateries and characterful boutiques, the charming second bedroom and bright master bedroom will only add to your sunny disposition. This home is equipped with outrageously comfortable mattresses and pillows from Casper, a company re-imagining sleep from the ground up.
