Explore the city's wide range of attractions, easily accessible through a number of nearby subway stations, then retire to this gorgeously decorated apartment, a getaway that features a private back patio – an oasis perfect for unwinding after a day spent at allegro pace.

One-man band

Our host marches to the beat of his own drum, an architect who's been with the neighbourhood through all its variations. He's had the time to finesse the apartment with personal touches like album covers that pop up in unexpected places and a sound system with speakers hung from the ceiling – just place one of the host’s 45s into the record player and let the world slip away.

Duplex duet

The apartment's tone is warm, and the decor manages to convey the space's glamour without tooting its own horn. As soon as you enter you'll notice a baby grand piano just opposite a cosy living space perfect for late night jam sessions. To the left lies the open kitchen – sit at one of the barstools to drink your coffee and say hello to the morning. The generous backyard terrace can be accessed through the kitchen, a private escape from the sounds of the city.

Upstairs hits the high notes with diverse bold colours in the two bedrooms and one bathroom, teal, orange and blue, respectively. The simple, inviting wood theme will lull you to sleep in the master bedroom and the memorabilia from the host's travels lends wonderment to the childrens' bedroom.

Buildings and food

It's a local secret that nightlife crescendos on the nearby Lower East Side where the food options will crank your taste buds up to 11. Try il Buco for Italian, or Prune for brunch. For a change of pace, grab a cheese plate and a pint at historic McSorley's, then head to the Standard East Village or Scratcher cafe, all just minutes away.

Home truths

There are air conditioning units in the second bedroom and the study area just outside the master bedroom only. The study air conditioning will cool the master bedroom through the door or interior window behind the television shown in the photos.

The master bedroom and single bedroom share the upstairs bathroom.

Some noise from the surrounding neighbors can be heard from inside the home.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
