Make believe you’re a New York City local. You’d romp in Manhattan, of course, but leafy, big-hearted Park Slope is where you’d play house - and Lincoln Place is just the spot to daydream your reverie to life. Three floors of bright, cleverly detailed quarters - including cosy kids’ rooms and soothing spa washrooms - are topped off by a private terrace and lush backyard. From its festive, funky art and extraordinary library to board games aplenty, this authentic Brooklyn brownstone is ideal for all.
Your hosts are an artist and an entrepreneur. They live for the moments with their children and a fun home that makes space for games and outdoor gambols the main attraction.
With its sturdy face and soft heart, Lincoln Place is no house of cards. Enjoy a meal in the gleaming chef’s kitchen, where frosted glass cabinetry and lacquered white panelling reflect a flood of natural light, or plan for a tea party to-do at the generous hardwood dining table. Then fling down together on the expansive leather sofa with an armful of promising books, or challenge all comers on the board games battlefield – there are dozens to choose from. Take time out to luxuriate in the gorgeous skylit master bathroom and oversized Jacuzzi bathtub. After a day of cityside sightseeing or expeditions romping through Prospect Park, warm, clear evenings mean a cookout in the backyard - the perfect way to close a close-knit day.
With its tree-lined hillsides, Park Slope is among Brooklyn’s most desirable neighbourhoods - it’s considered aces across all the five boroughs, in fact. And there couldn’t be more on offer for you: the world-class Brooklyn Museum is within walking distance, as are Grand Army Plaza, the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens, and Prospect Park. With the 2,3 and B,Q lines close at hand, rest assured that you’ll have easy access to Manhattan any time you like.
The communal hallway (shared with a commercial business) leading to the home's private entrance is well worn. The carpet and stairs in this home also show some signs of wear.
