Weird? Yes. Wonderful? Most certainly. St Margaret’s Road is a bit of a masterpiece, a place where nothing is as you’d expect, and everything is extraordinary. The sitting room whirls with disco fever, and when you’re done with the original art, designer furniture and semi-tropical garden, you’re encouraged to go and explore the independent shops and cafes of nearby Chamberlayne Road. Brondesbury is gastropub heaven, and with a tube station only moments from your front door, you can be in town in no time. If you find anything in the West End shops to beat your host’s hand-carved globe, do let us know.

St Margaret’s Road is the home of an artist, who spent six years perfecting his vision before finally taking up residence. Your hostess loves to entertain, with fine wine, artisan ham and exhilarating music.

Skulls, knuckle-duster mugs, a subversive crucifix… life in this home is never dull. The eat-in kitchen is large and airy, with a reclaimed wooden dining table and full-height doors that open into the ivy-clad garden.

The bedrooms are crammed with fascinating detail – a dripping black chandelier, an iridescent lamp and bunting being just a few, and the opulent bathrooms are full of art. Should you wish to recreate the look for yourself, you’ve a feast of interior design books, with particular instructions on how to reclaim beautiful things for your own.

Home truths

This home is spread over three floors.

The storage space in the master bedroom will be in a collapsible wardrobe.

The hanging space in the double bedroom will be a hanging rail.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

Since the onefinestay photoshoot, the home has been repainted in grey. We'll be taking new photographs soon.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
