Positioned in the most romantic of Parisian enclaves, this sleek apartment is moments from the Sacré-Coeur, the Moulin Rouge and the Palais Garnier. Upon the brilliant canvas of this recently re-modelled family home, your hosts have employed their aesthetic cunning. Witness the brushed-chrome kitchen and intriguing mix of contemporary furniture – to say nothing of the curving, blackboard-walled corridor. And while Van Gogh and Toulouse-Lautrec once oiled the vibrant streets of these parts, nowadays it’s an altogether more urbane scene that will colour your impressions, from the many pavement cafés and eateries to the cultured art galleries.
Your hosts are a French and Belgian couple with two young children. She is an architect and planned the extensive refurbishment that they carried out together. When not frequenting their beloved local cafés and art galleries, they like to spend time with their family in Normandy.
State of the art
Rue Victor Massé is a at once playful and sophisticated, its honeyed wood floors and stark walls stippled with whimsical flourishes – from framed crayon artworks to a daring red sideboard and artistically mismatched dining chairs. The master bedroom promises a restful night, with rustic seating hewn from twists of salvaged wood and soothing, ink-blue chests of drawers, while little apprentices will revel in the rainbow rugs and ample toys of their own bedrooms. But the piece de resistance is the open-plan kitchen and living area, opening onto a wrought-iron balcony waiting to frame the best of times with your muse.
There is no hanging space in the Rainbow bedroom and White bedroom, we will set up a collapsible wardrobe for your stay.
There is a sofabed in the sitting room where two additional guests can sleep. Please let our reservations team know if you need this set up for your stay.
This home doesn't have air-conditioning, so ask us if you'd like to have fans for your stay.
Contrary to the picture, the host has now installed a bunk bed in the third bedroom.
