Your hosts are a husband and wife pairing that apply their forces in academia – one in engineering, the other in university administration. Outside work, they stay busy experimenting with the laws of co-motion, from skiing to surfing to active travel.
A heliocentric model
You’ll know you’re set on a peaceful trajectory as you enter this home filled with natural light and cool colours, with silken wood flooring underfoot. Geometrically precise lines and shapes adorn the living room, governed by a star-shaped mirror above the fireplace. Grab an espresso in the flawlessly kept kitchen, then maintain your momentum past the bathroom and into the sleek, wide-open study. After you’ve brushed up on Newton's method, the master bedroom, a soothing blue-hued sanctuary, awaits.
The plush patio garden, accessible from both the office and master bedroom, is a perfect setting to study the laws of nature. Here you'll find a darling dining space encircled by verdant landscape. A stone path winds around to the jacuzzi privately hidden amid the greenery. If you’re coming with a crowd, the airy guesthouse with vaulted ceiling makes an ideal addition.
Theory of relativity
Take a quantum leap into the outdoors: beautiful hiking trails surround you, a swim in the ocean is just blocks away, and a bustling Sunday farmers' market is just down the street. When seeking greater friction, shift towards Santa Monica for some high-voltage activity.
This home can comfortably sleep two guests but has a wonderful detached studio with a queen sized futon and its own bathroom that can sleep and additional two guests.
There is no wardrobe in the Master Bedroom so we will provide a hanging rail for storage.
This home has a long driveway that has plenty of room for two guest cars.
The fireplace in this home is for decorative use only.
There is construction taking place at the home next door. The hours are: Exterior construction: Mon-Sat: 8:00am-6:00pm, Interior construction: Mon-Sat: 7:00am-9:00pm.
Since the onefinestay photoshoot the master bathroom has been redone. We will be taking new photographs soon!
Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.
Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.
Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.
I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.
Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.
Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.
Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
