Essex Place is a one bedroom, two bathroom home in the East Village. There’s much to see inside this trendy home, especially the sitting room which features two bright-blue armchairs, a leather sofa and colourful paintings aplenty. The front hallway leads past a full bathroom on the right and then past the boldly tiled open kitchen and marble breakfast bar, set with silver stools. At the end of the hallway sits the dining room and adjoining sitting room. The dining room is full of books, and has a designer table that stands atop a shag pile rug. A door here takes you through to the blue-and-white bathroom, where there’s a bath with an integrated shower. Next door, the sitting room leads into the master bedroom – a slightly subtler space with a simple queen-size bed, mirrored wardrobes and just a few eclectic accessories and artworks. This part of East Village is buzzing, its streets lined with ultra-hip bars, cafés and restaurants. You’re close to historic St. Mark’s Place, and only around a three-minute walk away from the subway at Second Avenue.
