Five floors make up this family home in Clinton Hill. Entering at street level, an open-plan living space reaches back to the kitchen, with an arched window beside the dining area for eight, and a comfy sofa (for movie viewing) nearest the door. Up one flight you’ll find a ‘princess’ room, a smart sofa bedroom, walls hung with maps, and a bunk bedroom – usually occupied by a budding Hendrix. On the next one up, adults have the floor to themselves and there’s a last, lofted bedroom above.

If it isn’t clear that this is a home with children at its heart, the basement floor will fathom it for you. There’s a pint-sized billiard table in the room with a red-chequered floor – and stools for the grand final’s audience. And what about the narrow corridor we passed on the way down? That leads out to the garden, where you can shoot hoops or catch rays, weather permitting.

Home truths

This home spans over six floors with no elevator. Guests enter on the second floor and will find the living room, kitchen, and powder room. The third bedroom, third bedroom ensuite, fifth bedroom, fifth bedroom ensuite, and play room are located on the third floor. The master bedroom, fourth bedroom, and shower room are located on the fourth floor. The loft bedroom is located in the attic, and the patio and billiard room are located in the basement.

Guests should note that to access loft bedroom they will need to climb up a ladder and that the ceilings are quite low in this room.

This home comfortably sleeps seven adults, with additional airbeds that can be made up upon request bringing the maximum occupancy to twelve.

While there are no wardrobes in the master bedroom, second bedroom, and loft bedroom, guests staying in these bedrooms will be provided hanging rails for their use.

The bathroom on the third level is currently out of order.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
