Pure thoroughbred

Your hosts found Portland Road during their honeymoon over 15 years ago and, along with their two teenage children, still find much to enjoy in the peaceful surroundings of Holland Park.


Rearing to go

Leaving your children to decide between their two bedrooms, you can unpack on the top floor in the fresh tartan-clad master bedroom. Your shell-strewn ensuite bathroom is a nod to your hosts’ work in the Caribbean and is the perfect place to groom for the day ahead. The kids can graze in the colourful basement kitchen and when it’s sunny why not grab a bat and ball for a riotous game in the garden.

You’ll find evidence of this area’s equine history in the prints lining the traditional sitting room walls with its elegant antique furniture and soft lamp lighting – a comforting place together for a board game, or when all are tucked up in bed, a quiet read with one of your host’s classic hardbacks.




Royal Enclosure

The streets of Holland Park are the ideal place for a brisk walk to get to know your new neighbourhood. Trot around one of London’s prettiest Royal Parks, canter up to Notting Hill’s many restaurants or gallop straight into nearby Central London, just 10 minutes from Holland Park tube, the opportunities are endless.

Home truths

This is a well loved family home, and as such there are a few signs of wear and tear.

Although they won't be present during your stay, this is also the home of three lovely cats so allergy sufferers please take note.

Your host will leave a timed sprinkler in the garden to water the plants in the evening, though this is easily moved if you wish to use the lawn.

This home is spread over five floors with no internal elevator.

This home doesn't have air conditioning. Between June and September, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
