A forest-green palette and antique furnishings are enlivened by curious wooden touches – like the tree-trunk lamp and the dining room’s carved wooden fish. Though you’re well-placed for all of New York’s famed sights, we think you’ll find there’s much to discover at home, too.

Your hosts are a couple who enjoy all things musical – and they’re certainly well-positioned to do so, surrounded by Chelsea’s creatives. They live here with their young son, his room a testament to the love of his life: Lego.

Peaceful hideaway

Music posters and memorabilia from your hosts' favourite concerts add an upbeat note to this home’s refined décor. A set of factory drawers and an emerald-green chest complete the collection of antiques in the living room, where you might set up camp on the comfortable sofa. Or make for the contemporary, galley-style kitchen, where you’ve pristine white cabinets and a bright mirrored backsplash.

Young scouts will enjoy the posters of superheroes and chalkboard sketches in the bunk bedroom, while the master bedroom is particularly calm, with a pared-back colour palette, framed, monochrome prints and a repurposed dresser that once incubated turkey eggs.

Home truths

While the wardrobes are unavailable in the bedrooms, guests will be provided a hanging rail for their use.

This is a much loved and lived-in home, as such guests may find that some parts of the home are a bit worn.

While there is no washer or dryer in this home, guests will find laundry facilities in the basement of the building for their use.

This home has air-conditioning in the sitting room and master bedroom only. Let us know if you'd like extra fans for your stay.

This home comfortably sleeps three adults, with an additional raised single bed in the second bedroom bringing the maximum occupancy to four.

While the master bedroom TV features full cable, guests should note that the living room TV is only equipped with basic channels.

One loveable dog lives at this home. He won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies.

Policies

Cancellation. Provided you book more than 7 days before the start of your stay, you can cancel your booking within 24 hours and we’ll provide a full refund. Our flexible rate offers more flexibility for those who need it. Read our cancellation policy here. Please note bookings for Hamptons and French Riviera have a separate cancellation policy.

Check-in and check-out. We’ll meet you at the home at your convenience any time after 4PM on your arrival date, and our standard check-out time is 11AM. Early check-in and late check-out can be arranged in advance, subject to availability and a charge.

Lead guest. The lead guest must be at least 25 years of age.

I.D. check and card authorisation. When you arrive we’ll check the lead guest’s I.D. and secure a £1,000 hold on a credit or debit card which will be released once we confirm no damage was caused during your stay.

Smoking. Guests are not permitted to smoke inside any onefinestay home.

Cleaning. We carefully clean and prepare each home before you arrive and after you depart, and for stays longer than seven days we provide a complimentary weekly Housekeeping service. More frequent Housekeeping visits can be arranged on request, subject to availability and a charge.

Payment. We accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express, and bank transfers for stays with at least 7 days’ notice.
