Lease of life Among the Hausmannian boulevards of the Latin Quarter, this period home has been given a 21st-century twist. In the sitting room, to the left of the entrance, are panelled walls, purple sofas and a pair of French windows. There’s a wooden table for six in the dining room next door, and straight ahead, the slate-floored kitchen is contemporary too. Turn right and you’ll find the second sitting room, where a turquoise-accented sofabed stands out against charcoal walls. Along the hallway to the right, all three bedrooms overlook a leafy courtyard. First you’ll come to the master bedroom – which has statement lamps and a queen-size bed – and past the slate-tiled bathroom, the second and third bedrooms (both with single beds) are equally colourful. At the end of the hallway, the second bathroom is tiled in dark blue.
