This is the one
You don’t need a runaway BPM or six strings and a Marshall amp to nod your head in time to this home. Rozel Road is that rare song which everyone will enjoy. Quiet on the outside, lovely within, you’ll be singing its praises the instant you step through the bright front door. The flooring is original, the kitchen brightly new and each bedroom bathed in sunlight. You’ve records and music posters everywhere, while on the patio, even the birds seem to cheep like the finest pop chanteuse. With the Common and cool Clapham itself so close by, this chorus hasn’t even kicked in yet...
Around the world
Born in India, your host came to London by way of New York. He works in the City and loves his sports, food and drink.
Take me home
Like a favourite album heard with headphones, this is a home to lose yourself in. The sitting room is large and lovingly decorated, from the cool posters and chandeliers to the original floorboards and high plasterwork. Choose a record from the shelves and listen in luxury on one of two cosy couches or the plush armchair. You’ve a fireplace and a period dining table, as well as another in the commodious, modern kitchen. All gentle woods and gleamy daylight, you’ve all the room you need to cook up a storm. Outside, the patio is perfect for parties and meditative moments alike.
Skip up the red-carpeted staircase to the bedrooms. You’ve an elegant double with exotic artwork, while the master is sunny, spacious and quietly stylish. Both bathrooms boast period features and modern flourishes, from freestanding baths to our White Company goodies. Lastly, you’ve a charming child’s double, with a wrought iron bedstead and plenty of toys.
The song remains the same
If you prefer the oldies but goodies, make for the cobbles of Clapham Old Town. Graced with characterful shops, elegant restaurants and delis, it’s the perfect warm-up act for Clapham Common’s rolling acres. Here, picnic beneath a tree or amble over to Northcote Road for its foodie stalls. The Kinks and Chuck Berry have played at the Clapham Grand, or you can catch a gig in town. The tube from Clapham Common to Oxford Circus takes less than twenty minutes.
The TV in the child's double bedroom is not currently wired up.
