You’ll find this little gem in the Mont-Boron nature conservation area, right near the old town of Nice: an authentic villa dating back to 1906, directly facing the Mediterranean. A stay in this superbly renovated home, means you’ll be traveling back in time, to the era of the Belle Epoque at the end of the 19th and beginning of the 20th centuries, when Nice, the main tourist resort on the Riviera, drew the cream of European society to its luxury hotels and famous Promenade des Anglais.
Aside from the magical feeling of steeping yourself in history, the villa has many other charms to offer, starting with its exceptional view of the Mediterranean and the Bay des Anges, in particular from its 75 sq. m rooftop terrace. The garden is an absolute marvel in itself: 1,000 sq. m of small shaded paths, palm trees, agapanthus, mandarin and lemon trees…a Garden of Eden in the middle of the city where you can hear the birds chirping and the murmur of the water in the fountain.
But we are well into in 21st century now and a magnificent swimming pool (heated) has been added where you can swim in total privacy. The same contrasts apply to the interior: although the villa is entirely furnished with Empire and Louis-Philippe period furniture, the kitchen and bathrooms are equipped with modern high-class amenities. Layout:
• Living area
• Dining room
• Well equipped open plan kitchen
• Carrera marble terrace
Lower level: garden-level
• Bedroom 1: queen-size bed, sea view, adjacent shower room with shower and toilets
• Bedroom 2: 140 cm bed
• Bedroom 3: 90 cm twin beds
• Bathroom with bathtub and toilets
• Bedroom 4: independent (in the garden), 140 cm bed, ensuite bathroom with bathtub and toilets
Household linen, kitchen and bath towels are provided. The beds are freshly made up. You’ll also have some surprises in store to welcome you: you’ll find toiletries in the bathrooms and a little gourmet gift basket in the kitchen. We provide fresh bed linens and bath towels. The beds are made shortly before your arrival. Optional services are available upon request.
The villa is situated on the slopes of the Mont Boron, a wooded hill and nature conservation area located east of the city center. It’s in a fashionable residential neighborhood that’s both quiet and close to the old town of Nice, which you can get to on foot (count on about 20 to 30 minutes). Climb up to very top of the hill where you’ll find the ruins of a 16th century stronghold: you’ll be rewarded by a view that stretches from Italy all the way to the Esterel.
The old port of Nice and the celebrated Promenade des Anglais are 1.5 km away. There are buses every half-hour that go right by the villa. You’ll find a supermarket a 5-minute walk away from the house. And the beach is just 300 meters down the road.
You’re just above the coast road that goes to Villefranche-sur-Mer. Monaco is only 25 minutes away by road and Nice’s international airport, 20 minutes away.
