Maillane is a typical Provencal village, with little shaded squares, shutters closed at siesta time, terraces that come alive when it’s time for a “pastis” under the plane trees! That’s what the gentle pleasures of life in southern France are all about!
This charming Provencal-style villa is at the tail end of the village, where the paved road gives way to small country lanes. Recently renovated, it has all the appeal of an old family home, while offering all the conveniences of a modern-day house. The days go by at their own leisurely pace, between the 11x5, heated saltwater swimming pool, the tree-covered garden where the children can play in complete safety and the shady terraces where you can savor the products from the local market.
The chic but casual Provencal decor fits in perfectly with the setting.

This delightful house is located in a residential neighborhood 500 m from the center of Maillane. It’s in the heart of the low Alpilles mountain range, between Provence and the Camargue: Saint-Remy-de-Provence is just 10 minutes away by road, and Les Baux-de-Provence, Avignon and Arles, less than 20 minutes.
The village of Maillane is the homeland of the French author Frederic Mistral. His house has been transformed into a museum that’s well worth a visit. The village has two grocery stores, a pharmacy, two bakeries, a cafe and two restaurants. There’s an open-air market every Thursday and a supermarket a few minutes away by car.
There are plenty of opportunities for sports and leisure activities close to the house: the Grand Avignon golf course is 26 km away, the Graveson tennis courts 3 km down the road, as well as the option of exploring the region’s exceptional natural resources. You’re also only about 50 km from the sea, so why not go spend a day at the beach?
Avignon’s high speed TGV train station is 14 km away and the Marseille Airport, a one-hour drive (85km).
