This delightful and typically Re-style house is located on the edge of the little village of Loix, on the north coast of the Ile de Re. Its 1,300 sq. m landscaped garden adds enormously to its charm. Thanks to the island’s microclimate which ensures a maximum of sunshine in every season, you can enjoy it all year round. A wall, guaranteeing peace and privacy, surrounds the entire property: there is nothing facing the 8x4 swimming pool, which can be fenced-in for protection upon request. A swing, table football: in short, a perfect setting for a family vacation. The biking paths will get you the Groin beach in two minutes.
The cozy living area with a fireplace, as well as the comfortable terrace with its wicker chairs are a wonderful place to relax after the days spend in the open air. The woodwork, light colors and furnishings highlight the authentic and unpretentious nature of this enchanting house. In addition, all the bedrooms have large windows and lots of light. The master suite is situated in an outside annex so that the grown-ups can have both peace and privacy.

The house is situated in Loix, a quiet little village on the north coast of the lle de Re, 35 km from La Rochelle. You’re just around the corner from the village center and only 15 minutes from the Groin beach (accessible by bicycle, with biking paths right next to the house). Loix is a perfect surf and sailing spot. In fact, there’s a sailing school for children right on the beach.
Thanks to its location at a peninsula connected to the main island by its salt marshes, Loix has been able to preserve its authentic character with its little houses and daily market where you’ll able to buy local produce. You’ll find the last tide mill of the Ile de Re there as well. And there are plenty of places to explore: Saint-Martin-de-Re and Sainte-Marie-de-Re are only about 20 minutes away. And don’t forget: biking is a way of life here!
The La Rochelle Laleu airport is 20 km and the La Rochelle train station 30 km from the house.
