Is it the luxurious vegetation and palm trees in the garden, or the porch with white columns, or even the woven armchairs? Still, this charming property south of the Cape’s lighthouse has a slight colonial air. A welcoming unconventionality, representative of the peninsula’s style, both chic and relaxed.
Inside, the walls and ceilings covered in white panelling reinforce the impression of a luxury cabin surrounded by nature. The tasteful, nautical decor confirms it – you are on holiday, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, a few metres from the ocean and the Bay’s beaches. Go and try local oysters and seafood with your feet in the water, in one of the shacks on the Mimbeau lagoon.
If the beach is just a five-minute walk away, you can still enjoy the completely private pool, with no neighbours close by, protected by the pine trees and a dense hedge. An annex in the garden provides room for an additional bedroom, with a bathroom. The house is entirely on one level:

A gas barbecue and a plancha are available. You can park one car on the property and two other in the street in front of the house.

The villa is 10 minutes’ walk south of the Cape lighthouse, halfway between the Bay and the ocean, in the northern part of the peninsula.
Cross the dune and the enormous beach by the Atlantic is in front of you. On the other side, is a fishing villa with its original charm and authenticity. At the edge of the village are tasting bars where lovers of oysters and white wine can stop for a moment opposite the water and by the Mimbeau, a long white sandbank that closes off the Bay.
The famous Cabane du Mimbeau restaurant is five minutes’ walk, where you can enjoy fantastic sea food with your feet in the water. There is also Boulan fishmonger and oyster famers, probably the best known in the peninsula! This is a tranquil corner for a quiet swim or walk.
Further up, there is the beach at the lighthouse, with the Dune of Pilot opposite. Wherever the tide is, you can swim, and at low tide, kids will love the little natural paddling pools where they can splash around in complete safety. In the summer, you can rent stand-up paddles to use in the Bay, and buy ice creams and soft drinks. The Cape Ferret Yacht Club has been set up not far from here, offering sailing lessons.
