Description
Cicadas, lavender, the sun that warms the fields: we’re in the heart of the country, two kilometers from the little village of Charleval, with the Luberon as a backdrop and the Durance River as a shore. Salon-de-Provence is 10 kilometers away. Tranquility and silence guaranteed.
Outside: a traditional farm building, rectilinear, shaded by the tall trees. Here’s a place where you spend a lot of time outdoors: the pergola shelters a large table for family lunches and a hammock for siestas. The children will most certainly prefer to plunge into the 11x3m swimming pool, set slightly apart and secured by a barrier, or play in the handsome 1,600 sq. m. fenced garden.
Inside, you’ll find the original old stones and wooden beams, but the decor is much more contemporary and the design inspired by the loft style: a successful mix of Provencal authenticity and modernism, served by its eclectic furniture and highly personalized decoration. You’ll feel at home in no time. Life here is simple and comfortable, the spaces warm and welcoming.

The farm is situated in the Provencal countryside, 2 km from the charming village of Charleval, in the foothills on the border of the Bouches du Rhône and the Vaucluse. This little village will surprise you by its architecture and American-style straight, ordered and perfectly aligned streets. You can everything you need for everyday life there: shops, a bakery, and restaurants, with that special atmosphere of a Provence village thrown into the bargain.
It’s a strategic location for setting out to explore the region, as there are a number of Provence’s major must-sees nearby. To the north of Charleval, you’ll find the starting point of the remarkable Luberon mountain chain, famous for its hilltop villages (Gordes, Roussillon and Bonnieux, among others) and its regional nature park.
Aix-en-Provence is 25 km from the house and Marseille Provence airport about a 40-minute drive away.
