Mimbeau is a long sandbank that connects the bay, creating a lagoon that is partially covered by vegetation, just ahead of the tip of Cap Ferret. This magical place is truly authentic. It is a dream location to swim and admire the magnificent landscape.
This pretty, wooden house is five minutes’ walk from the beaches and the shacks where you can try local oysters, and its wood construction is typical of Cape architecture, like a luxury forester’s hut. Surrounded by the pine forest, it has a 1000m2 garden and a shaded terrace where you can dine outdoors, and relax in complete privacy.
Very few houses have interiors as tasteful and original. The eclectic choice of furniture, lighting, and colours creates an atmosphere that is both relaxing and exquisite, sophisticated and exotic, and without ostentation – a real jewel that wouldn’t be out of place in an interior design magazine!

The villa is located in the village of Cap Ferret, 10 minutes on foot to the south of the Cape’s lighthouse and halfway between the bay and the ocean.
Cross the dunes and you’ll find yourself face-to-face with the immense beaches of the Atlantic. On the other side, you’ll find the Fishermen’s village that has preserved all of its charm and authenticity.
At the end of the village, these are several tasting bars, where oyster and white wine aficionados love to sit for a while facing the water, and the "Mimbeau", a long sandbank that closes off the bay. You’ll also find the oyster-grower and fishmonger Boulan, probably the most famous one on the peninsula! A peaceful place for a swim or a quiet walk.
A little further on there’s the lighthouse beach, facing the renowned “Dune du Pilat”.
You can swim, no matter what the tide, and at low tide, children will delight in the little natural “paddling pools” where they can jump around and have fun in complete safety. In the summer season, there’s a small shack where you can rent stand-up paddles to navigate around the bay and stock up on ice cream and cold drinks.
The Cap Ferret Yacht Club is based close by and offers sailing courses and lessons.
