An island on the island, Loix is connected to the rest of the Ile de Ré by a road and two bicycle paths that cross the marshes and salt marshes. Here, you can experience a village spirit and enjoy the sweetness of life. This independant villa (not semi-detached, which is rare on the island of Re) is located 800 meters from the center of the village and its shops. La Tonille and Le Groin beaches are five minutes by bike.
With a heated swimming pool of 7m x 4m and a large garden of 2500sq.m. offering an unobstructed view to the ocean, the villa is a small paradise for a large family or two families. It consists of two independent houses connected by a shaded passage where you can have lunch.
With its terracotta floors and its fireplaces, floral touches and seaside decoration, the villa looks like a refined country house, where you will enjoy a comfortable and worry-free holiday.

The house is situated in Loix, a quiet little village on the north coast of the lle de Re, 35 km from La Rochelle. You are at 15 minutes walk from the village center and from the beaches of Groin and La Tonille (accessible by bicycle, with biking paths right next to the house). Loix is a perfect surf and sailing spot. In fact, there’s a sailing school for children right on the beach.
Thanks to its location at a peninsula connected to the main island by its salt marshes, Loix has been able to preserve its authentic character with its little houses and daily market where you’ll able to buy local produce. You’ll find the last tide mill of the Ile de Re there as well. And there are plenty of places to explore: Saint-Martin-de-Re and Sainte-Marie-de-Re are only about 20 minutes away. And don’t forget: biking is a way of life here!
