Pyla-sur-Mer is a charming little beach resort at the edge of Arcachon Bay, opposite the Banc d'Arguin nature reserve, and a few minutes from the famous Pilat sand dune. The beautiful beaches here are as popular with locals as with tourists.
Very close to the beach, this house was built in typical Arcachon style, and has a passage down the side of the house that leads to a 50m2 terrace overlooking the beach, secured by a gate. Go down a small flight of stairs and you hit the sand. It is a real pleasure to dine outdoors in the shaded area, which has been equipped with a summer kitchenette! After breakfast or lunch, the children can build sandcastles within view of the adults!
Another lovely space is the terrace in front of the house, with a seating area hidden from public view.
With designer furnishings, the villa is a modern and welcoming environment. On the ground floor, the living space is very open, with a living room, dining room, and American kitchen. Each bedroom has its own bathroom or shower room.

Pyla-sur-Mer is a ten-minute walk from the villa. There are many small shops close by, and Arcachon is only five kilometres away. The beautiful large beaches at Pyla stretch out to the edge of Arcachon Bay, and the ocean isn’t far away. You can catch a glimpse of the Pilat sand dune, Banc d'Arguin nature reserve, and opposite, the tip of Cap Ferret.
Climbing the Dune of Pilat is a must since it is the highest in Europe, at 100-115 metres tall, and it is always popular with children. There is a wide range of activities to choose from in the area, from a quiet walk, swim, bike ride, or golfing, to paragliding, board sports, or microlight flights…
