The building is on Ile Saint Louis’ Quai Bourbon, one of Paris’ most prestigious addresses, and undoubtedly a prime location in the centre of the capital. You enter the building through a magnificent carriage entrance. The apartment is at the end of a small private courtyard with a bench and plants.
The apartment’s unusual layout makes a perfect space for a family of four, a wonderfully furnished hideaway.
You enter through the kitchen which has a glass roof. Full of light, charming, and with a bar and a high table for meals. The living room, also leading to the courtyard, is next to the kitchen and has a sofa and flat screen TV.
A staircase leads to the basement where there is a twin bedroom, a bathroom, and a toilet. The bedroom can be turned into a cosy alcove with a curtain so the occupants aren’t disturbed by use of the bathroom, which has a fantastic Italian shower. There is a separate toilet.
From the living room, another staircase leads up to the master bedroom, elegantly furnished, with a double bed, TV, and seating area. In all the rooms, glass panes let in a lot of light. Please note that this apartment has low ceilings.

Along with its big sister, Ile de la Cite, Ile Saint-Louis is undeniably the historical heart of Paris. The prestige here is unrivalled and few people are lucky enough to live there. This is where Paris’ most beautiful apartments can be found. It’s also an incredibly romantic place where you can stroll by the river admiring the gorgeous hotels and watch the never-ending ballet of the tourist river boats. At night their lights illuminate the building facades, adding to the magical atmosphere.
On the inside, Rue Saint-Louis en l’ile is bordered by pretty shops with gorgeous window displays. Food lovers will also find some great restaurants as well as many cafes and tearooms.
The apartment is five minutes’ walk from Notre Dame Cathedral. Cross the Pont Marie bridge and arrive at Pont Marie metro, along with the remarkable neighbourhood of Saint-Paul, and the Marais with all its shops and bistros. Everything is within walking distance.
