The property provides an ideal opportunity to explore the Luberon and its Regional Nature Park. It all starts at Saint-Saturnin-les-Apt, 1km away from the house at the very most, where you can savor the many charms of an authentic Provencal village, with its little lanes, market, shops and bistros. The Luberon is studded with hillside villages, and many are ranked among the beautiful in France. There are the absolute must-sees, such as Roussillon and its ochres, Gordes and the Abbey of Senanque, Rustrel, not to mention Bonnieux, Lacoste and Menerbes… the list is never-ending! Each of these Luberon villages has its own special character, and its aficionados. Apt, the “capital”, is famous for its open-air markets, where you’ll find an array of local products: honey, cheese, olive oil, lamb, and a variety of AOC wines… a real treat, with the smells and flavors which seem enhanced by the Provencal sunshine! There are plenty of options for nature tours; you can explore the region on foot, by bike or even on horseback, take your pick and go with the flow!
