Peace of mind Rue Sedaine is a tranquil enclave in the heart of lively Bastille. The open entrance hall leads along pine floorboards to the monochrome sitting room, where contemporary black leather armchairs face a sofa over a glass coffee table. On the other side of this open-plan space, white chairs surround a circular dining table and French windows open onto a charming terrace – a nice breakfast spot. Here, a spiral staircase winds up to a walled patio terrace overlooking Paris’ iconic rooftops. Return to the entrance hall to find a modern kitchen, which has a sleek breakfast bar running along a sky-blue wall. A small corridor leads back to the bedrooms, the calm master bedroom has a queen-size bed, and a little balcony through a set of sliding doors. The second bedroom is pared-back and peaceful, with white walls and a double sofabed.
