Change of scenery Unlike the traditional Bayswater avenue on which you’ll find it, Sussex Gardens III is quietly contemporary. Entering on the lower ground floor, the second bathroom is on the left, and there’s a pair of single beds in the third bedroom, just opposite. A hallway on the right leads to the second bedroom (with a bunk bed) and then you’ll come to the bathroom. The master bedroom, next door, has neutral colours and a contrastingly vintage writing desk. Follow the hallway to the end and you’ll find the sitting room. Flush-fitted shelves are filled with books, and just as orderly looking are the white walls and facing pair of cream sofas. Across the wooden flooring, there are clean lines and grey-and-white cabinets in the kitchen, and six can sit at the round wooden dining table, framed by sloping skylights and colourful art.
