The Masseria Il Mandorlo fiorito, built in local stone and formerly part of the Masseria Galante, dates back to the XIX century, but is presumably far more ancient. The only definite date is although 1860, when it was part of an ancient and wider village.
The entire structure has been modified during centuries, belonging to different owners, who inevitably made different and arbitrary changes. Founded in awful conditions by the new owners in 2014 the Masseria has been object of an extensive and accurate campaign of restoration, which took it back to the ancient splendor.
The Masseria is today one of the most beautiful of the "valle d'Itria", surrounded by large open green spaces, ancient olive trees, an orchard, a vegetable garden. The villas, the large hall, the alcove, adapted to an Arabic sitting room for the aperitifs, and the antique mangers, back onto a central barnyard, under the shadow of the acacia trees.
Around the two villas "Fico" and "Ulivo", there is a wide open green space with a barbecue area and the gorgeous large swimming pool, for the exclusive use of the guests. The wide parking area is located inside the masseria near the villas. All the area is fenced and equipped with electric gate.
The Villa Ulivo is an antique pugliese "lamia", typical building of the Valle d'Itria, with an area of 55 sq.m., an entrance and living room, an equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom. All the bedrooms overlook the swimming pool, and air conditioning system and heating system are provided in the entire villa.
The Masseria is located at only 800 mt. from the historical site Ceglie Messapica, an ancient village of messapian origins, known as the gastronomy's regional capital. We are in the heart of the Valle d'Itria, a land rich of olive trees and the ancient typical, at a strategic point that easily allows to reach the sea sides of the Adriatic (15 mins.) and Jonian (50 mins.). In the nearby there are supermarkets, confectioneries, grocery stores, and farms which sell their natural and organic products (animals, dairy products) at km 0.
*We will offer for free to the kind guests of the masseria, exclusively for the first day of the arrival: a welcome drink, a bottle of mineral water, a set of morning breakfast (tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits, basket of seasonal fruit, & a homemade jam from organic fruits of the Masseria).
** Can be rented with Villa Fico Masseria Il Mandorlo Fiorito
