Perched atop a cliff, Gedoro is an eagle's nest of a home that seems to soar above the dazzling blue ocean - a cosy nook of splendour. Situated in the beautiful town of Praiano, literally right on the Amalfi coast, Gedoro is steps away from the beach and also the centre of town. The airport is 90 minutes away and, once arrived, you're in a perfect position to explore the surrounding area, with Positano 20 minutes away in one direction and Amalfi 20 minutes away in the other (both accessible by bus). Also nearby are the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ravello, Mount Vesuvius and the famous Pompeii and the jewel-like islands of Capri and Ischia. A refined, contemporary home, Gedoro is composed of bright white walls, clean lines and bold design features all of which work together in simple harmony and utter elegance. The main living space is sleek and dramatic with a stunning monochrome floor and handsome wooden furniture. The fully-equipped kitchen is cleverly designed around a central island to maximise space. There’s also a glorious ten-seat dining table with views through the glass doors to the terrace and sea beyond. The delightful living area boasts plush, deep seating, around a large screen TV, with fabulous pieces of artwork scattered about. A real feature of the house is the gorgeous cubist-style spiral staircase: the warm rich hues of the wood seem to glow against the sweeping white walls and there's a charming sitting nook underneath: simply perfect for curling up with a book. The five queen ensuites are havens of serenity and comfort with beautiful glass doors, sumptuous white linens and lovely ambient lighting. Each room has its own colour theme which continues into the bathroom in the form of vibrant tiles that are sure to make you smile! Outside awaits a series of glorious terraces. The foliage-strewn wooden deck provides a series of cosy and shady nooks, easily accessed from the bedrooms. Then the capacious stone deck offers up a myriad of loungers and soft armchairs as a fabulous al fresco dining table and BBQ. There's a miniature rockery of clifftop plants and a lovely little lemon-orchard pergola shading a hammock. Finally, there's the gorgeous hot tub and a line of loungers facing boldly out towards the breathtaking Tyrrhenian Sea: a pure sheet of azure stretching to the horizon from beneath your feet.
