Aspen, The Rockies
Want to be in the heart of all the Aspen action? This luxurious three-floor townhouse is ideal, especially for groups of friends keen to spend evenings together. Inside the so-called Aspen Core – the town’s playground, where luxury boutiques, restaurants, galleries and the old Wheeler Opera House congregate on handsome streets – it’s also just a ten-minute stroll from the Aspen Mountain ski resort’s base area, and thus from the famous Silver Queen gondola. Should you choose to stay in, plenty of amusements await behind the home’s Victorian facade. Two living-room areas, on the second and top floors, come with flat-screen TVs and stylish stone fireplaces. The back patio contains a barbecue grill. And a spacious dining table allows for fun group meals concocted amid the expansive kitchen. Counter seats inside there enable more casual eats, too, while warm wood panelling and pastel shades throughout instil a contemporary but cosy feel. Upstairs, the lofty master suite adjoins a private balcony facing Aspen Mountain, as does another bedroom. Both, along with the third room – twin-bedded should you want – are ensuite and boast flatscreen TVs. One of the lounges has four more unfoldable beds if necessary. Powder addicts will delight in the presence of ski storage facilities and a washer-dryer, as well as the free shuttle buses connecting to three other nearby ski resorts: demanding Aspen Highlands, easy Buttermilk and versatile Snowmass.
