Breckenridge, The Rockies
The ultimate ski-in-ski-out lodge for up to 18 guests, Majestic Mountain Lodge certainly lives up to its name. This seven-bedroom lodge combines lavish living with the natural wonder of the Baldy Mountain peaks. From its vaulted Great Room to the sublime serenity of the seven bedrooms including king suites and bunk rooms, this is an enchanting destination that doesn't hold back on the elegance. Pride of place goes to the Majestic Mountain Suite on the upper main level, with its spacious king-size bed, striking stone gas fire, and private balcony. On the main level, you’ll find the king-size Springmeier Suite, and the adorable Little Ripper’s Bunk, which has one extra-large twin bed and one extra-large twin-over-full Captain’s bunk. Head back up to the upper level and you’ll find four more bedrooms, including the king-size Four O’clock suite, two queen suites, and the GoldRunner Bunk, which also has an extra-large twin bed and one extra-large twin-over-full Captain’s bunk. Wonderfully peaceful, Majestic Mountain Lodge is in a secluded location that puts passionate skiers and boarders right in the heart of the best glade runs. You’re just a few meters from the Fairy Trail and Four O’clock run that takes you to the Snowflake Lift. To the west is the magnificent Peak 8, offering challenging runs galore and home to the Imperial Express SuperChair, North America's highest chairlift. Head up to the Horseshoe Bowl for some more technical runs, including the aptly named 'High Anxiety' black run. During the summer, there's plenty to see and do, including dozens of hiking trails and paths that take you into the heart of the mountains. Head back to Peak 8 via the Gondola, and you'll discover the Peak 8 Fun Park. Are you and the little ones brave enough to take on the Breckenridge Gold Runner roller coaster? From mountain biking to zip lines and a climbing wall, Peak 8 Fun Park is the perfect place for families with children with lots of energy to burn. After all that excitement, it's back to Majestic Mountain Lodge for a lazy soak in the hot tub and a meal. That gourmet kitchen has everything the budding chef needs, including a 48"" professional dual oven and multi-burner gas range. After dinner, it's down to the Rec Room for games, a few drinks, and some lively après ski before succumbing to the lure of those comfy beds. Then it's time to wake up and do it all over again from this fabulous accommodation in a truly majestic setting.
