A tranquil hideaway just a mile away from the historic town of Breckenridge, River Haus combines contemporary décor with traditional design motifs and an extra-large helping of Colorado style. This 2,878ft² lodge is spread over three storeys and embraces the natural beauty of its surroundings. Impressive, hewn stone plinths support the upper balcony beams, and exceptional forest views fill every picture window. Just a mile away is the towering Peak 9, providing both complete beginners and experienced black-run aficionados with all the skiing and boarding they’ll ever need. It’s home to some of the most challenging double-black diamond runs in the world, with super-tight turns and almost vertical drops. During the summer, this entire region turns into an adventure playground, with miles of trails, hiking paths and mountain biking on offer, as well as championship golf and family fun for all ages at the Breckenridge Epic Discovery Fun Park. River Haus has four bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, offering accommodation for up to ten guests. With a king-size bed, the King suite on the upper level is warm and cosy, with a gas fire and picture windows framing charming mountain views. The Blue Sky Bunk Room features a queen-over-queen bunk, while the River’s Edge king suite on the lower level is decorated in a contemporary theme that’s subtle yet sophisticated with a king-size bed to snuggle up in. The River Song queen suite completes the accommodation with a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom with dual sinks. The professional standard kitchen has every appliance a chef could need. The spacious living area is an open concept design that makes full use of those incredible views. This is an impeccably comfortable lodge that invites you to kick off your shoes, curl up with a hot chocolate, and relax. Outside, cosy chairs cluster around the fire pit, and the elevated Main Level Deck gives you unrivalled views of the mountains and the night sky. If you really have to check in with the office, there's a private workspace too and stable wifi throughout. Once you’ve defeated the mountain or those high-peak trails, the River Haus’ hot tub calls, where a soak will ease those tired muscles at the end of the day. Spend some time in the downstairs family room with its large flat-screen TV, then fall into the soft beds of the king or queen bedroom suites and reflect on the day's adventures. Let the gentle breeze whispering through the pines lull you to sleep, ready to do it all again tomorrow.
