In the heart of one of the most historic cities in the world sits this charming two-bedroom home, just minutes from the busy Piazza Navona. Welcoming up to four guests, this delightful apartment captures the spirit of this cosmopolitan city with a subtle blend of both traditional features and contemporary furniture. The aptly named 'Eternal City' is so full of historic attractions, world-class museums and art galleries - and the finest Italian food - that it would take a lifetime of visits to see it all. Close to the apartment is one of the city's most lively squares. Piazza Navona sits on the sight of the Stadium of Domitian, built in the 1st Century AD. Once the place where Romans went to watch games, it's now full of baroque architecture and fabulous fountains. Wander the twisting streets and alleyways surrounding it, and you'll discover boutique shops and tiny trattorias serving local dishes such as spaghetti carbonara, accompanied by crisp white wines and delicious, freshly-brewed coffee. Vicolo della Pace has the advantage of a third-floor position, giving it exceptional views from the floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies. It's a brightly decorated home, where each room has its own theme. The living space is large and airy, with high vaulted ceilings and parquet flooring providing a wonderful canvas for the artwork that fills the room. The dining room is decorated in delicate floral paper and features a flying bird light-fitting above the large dining table. The kitchen is bijou and packed with everything you'll need to rustle up some authentic Roman cuisine - perhaps a satisfying dish of cacio e pepe (cheese and pepper pasta) - after all, when in Rome... The two bedrooms are gorgeously indulgent, with the king-size master bedroom a symphony of red and gold and the second bedroom featuring two single beds with ornate blue textile drapes. Both come complete with ensuite bathrooms. Vicolo della Pace is a sumptuous home that celebrates colour, art, and Roman flair, mixing counterpointing styles to create a unique interior. It's a delightful apartment perfect for a city break or a long weekend for a couple or small family group. It is just a short walk away from some of Rome's most famous attractions, including the Pantheon, Campo dei Fiori, the Jewish Quarter and, slightly further away, the Vatican.
