Boasting a wonderful combination of family-friendly sandy beaches and one of Costa Rica’s best-loved national parks, Manuel Antonio is a richly diverse and welcoming destination. Manuel Antonio National Park is famous for its charming titi monkeys, who love playing in the palm trees that line the beaches. Guided tours take you through the Damas Island Mangrove forests, or you can try a range of adrenaline sports such as parasailing, zip lining, or jet-ski tours of the craggy coastline. When it's time to refuel, head to one of the local restaurants for an ice cold beer ad a plate of patacones (deep-fried plantain) paired with a delicious avocado and black bean dip.

Set across 6,000 ft² of interior space and several levels, Casa Anjali makes the most of the views with floor-to-ceiling windows in the main living area. The open-plan design allows the soft ocean breeze to cool the interior during the day, and vibrant, bespoke paintings bring colour and movement to the neutral tones of the interior. A fully equipped American-style kitchen provides everything a discerning chef could wish for, and an elegant dining area is just the place for entertaining in style. Access to the upper levels is via a unique glass tower stairwell. The seven king-size bedrooms all have ensuite bathrooms, with many benefiting from instant access to the main sun deck or private terraces. Three have king-size beds, one has a queen and three others have two twins but can be converted to king-size beds upon request. The finish throughout is immaculate, from the rainfall showers to the local artwork on the walls.

Outside, a large infinity pool with a built-in jacuzzi dominates the sun deck. Solariums encourage you to relax in the sun and immerse yourself in the jungle experience. Evening meals can be eaten al fresco in the outdoor kitchen and dining area - preferably with a cocktail made using guaro, a local spirit a little like pisco. Because of its location within a National Park, Manuel Antonio has been sympathetically designed with sustainability in mind. During the construction, more trees were planted than cut, making this a mindful vacation destination with no compromise on quality.
